A Bit of Chit Chat:

Alright. A bit of why I am not recording this episode and posting it on YouTube. The short answer? I have plans to stop the full-length podcast episodes.

I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but over the past year I’ve been taking more and more breaks from full podcast episodes. I’ve also been posting more timelapses, videos from my streams, or smaller vlog-style videos over the past year. Part of the reasoning, is that I’ve felt that my normal episodes are not being posted/pushed by the YT algorithm, and I’ve been feeling burnt out by the extra pushing I had to do to get it seen to new viewers. So I gave up and started to post what I want to pour my energies into.

I’ve felt guilty about NOT letting you know what’s been going on in my life (crafty-wise), so I try to keep uploading those episodes when I could.

I love the VlogTober/VlogMas style of episodes where I’m just chatting with everyone. These types of videos seem to be snagging everyone’s attention better. So, I will continue with the Summer Vlogs, VlogTober, and VlogMas episodes as they come up. I might post occasional WIP & Chats as well. I’ll try to switch up crafts too.

Another note… Instead of full-length podcast episodes, I plan on doing monthly updates here on the Vlog. I will be writing out full “shownotes” and putting the details of each project I’ve been working on/finishing here. I’ll be changing the Podcast category on Discord a bit too, so be on the look out for that…

These notes you see may include dates in ( ). They just notate when I started it or finished it, depending on if I remember to notate the date.

One final note before I start the Shownotes… I believe I’m going to be dropping the FB group by the end of 2022, as no one engages there anymore, and I don’t really use FB for anything other than contacting my IRL family.

   1. This along is to help keep ourselves reading, and reading the books we REALLY want to finish in 2022. The idea is to read a minimum of 10 minutes every day, no matter WHAT it is you read. Audio books, social media posts, blogs, online/offline comic books all DO count.
   2. There will be new FO threads once a quarter.
   3. We’ll be using #SDLPileTaming2022 on all social medias.
