1. No real rules. Just enter your FO’s as you go. It doesn’t matter WHAT type of craft you do, or what you finish. It all counts.

Taming The Pile RAL (New along for 2022)

Details
1. This along is to help keep ourselves reading, and reading the books we REALLY want to finish in 2022. The idea is to read a minimum of 10 minutes every day, no matter WHAT it is you read. Audio books, social media posts, blogs, online/offline comic books all DO count.
2. There will be new FO threads once a quarter.
3. We’ll be using #SDLPileTaming2022 on all social medias.
Prizes
1. Anyone who reads a minimum of 10 minutes every day for the entire year will be entered into a drawing for 2 Gift Cards to Amazon and 2 Gift Cards to Webs’ online store. For every 10 people who enter the Reading Along, I’ll add another Gift card of each type to the pool.

The Fourth Annual Desert Vista Dyeworks Monthly Sock Club

In 2018 we will be continuing with our very popular contest in the Desert Vista Dyeworks line up! A Monthly Sock Club!!!!

The rules are very simple:

Knit/Crochet a pair a socks in any Desert Vista Dyeworks’ yarn every month. (Hand knit socks only, please NO machine knit socks.) Only one pair will count per month towards the discounts and prizes. Unfortunately, if you miss a month you cannot make it up in the following month. To be fair to everyone, the fun of the club is to cast on and knit one pair of DVD socks each month.
Each entry must be a completed pair of socks in an adult size. (Socks must include a toe, foot, heel, leg and cuff, please NO infant, toddler, children, ankle or pedicure socks. Leg and cuff should be at least three inches long.)

To clarify, this is a contest solely sponsored by DVD and all yarn used (including heels/toes and monster socks) must be DVD.

There is going to be an exception to the sock rule. You may knit mittens or gloves instead of socks, but the same rules apply. (Gloves/Mitten must include a thumb gusset and cuff, please NO infant, toddler, children, fingerless mitts or wristers.)

You are allowed one pair of “monster” or “scrap” socks or gloves/mittens during the year. All scraps must be DVD yarn.

The goal should be to use at LEAST 1/2 a skein of DVD sock yarn.

Post your yarn colorway, and your FO in the Ravelry thread. (Start the month with a picture of your yarn. End the month with a picture of your socks included in your original post.)(The socks must be cast on and a finished photo in the same month to qualify.)
Post your beginning, wips and FO’s on Instagram for extra points towards prizes. Use the hashtag #thefourthannualdesertvistadyeworksmonthlysockclub
We will also be adding a second hashtag to all the Instagram pics (thanks chrissyle for the idea! Use #dvdinstagram2018 , then add your id at the end). That way you can keep track and I think it will make it a lot easier for me!. My tag would be #dvdinstagram2018desertvistadyeworks

End of March: Every finished pair of socks from January 1 through March 31 will count towards increments of 10% off in the shop.

End of June: Every finished pair of socks from April 1 through June 30 will count towards increments of 10% off in the shop or if you have finished six pairs of socks in the first six months you will receive a free skein of DVD yarn of your choice.

End of September: Every finished pair of socks between July 1 and September 30 will count towards increments of 10% off in the shop.

End of December: Every finished pair of socks from October 1 through December 31 will count towards increments of 10% off in the shop or if you finished six pairs of socks in the second six months of the year you will receive a free skein of DVD yarn of your choice. (If you finished 12 pairs in the year – you will receive the exclusive Colorway instead of a yarn of your choice.)

If 12 pairs are finished (one pair of month for the entire year) the winners will receive an exclusive sock club colorway only available to those that have completed the sock club.

Every three months you could earn 30% off your next order in the shop!
Every six months you could earn a free skein of yarn.
For a full year you could earn a skein of yarn in an exclusive colorway just for those that completed the sock club!

Self-Striping yarn KAL/CAL/WAL

Self striping yarns in 2018, and each month we’ll use different dyers. You can knit whatever you like out of this yarn, but if you want to be included for prizes, we ask that you use at least 50 grams of one of the dyer of the months yarn (it can be fingering-dk weight). You will also need to start that project at the beginning of the month and finish it by the end of the month. I’m going to work on creating a bundle in the group for self striping patterns (please feel free to add more, anyone in the group can).     - This KCAL runs from November 1 – November 30, 2016.
    - WIPs ARE allowed! You must, however, FINISH your project during the month of November.
    - All projects submitted to the FO thread must have something to do with Downton Abbey. Your project may be inspired by the characters, settings, events, themes, costumes, etc. It may be a pattern that is inspired by Downton Abbey, or yarns named after Downton Abbey, etc.
