Streaming Into The New Year

As promised, I’m back with an update on what I got up to during my 14-hour New Years Stream! Well… It ended up being more like a 15 1/2 hour stream, when all was said and done.  I’m a few weeks out from it (as I needed some time to rest and relax afterward), but I still can’t believe I was able to keep up with all I had planned for the stream. I’m going to be honest, I hadn’t been doing well emotionally leading up to the stream, and I even almost cancelled the stream the morning of, as I was STRESSING all the things…. As you’ve seen with my weekly stream update posts, I ended up having to cancel all of my December streams due to some major mental health crisis points. I didn’t want the stream to make these worse, either. But as I had a major announcement to make to my Twitch viewers by the end of the stream, I pushed forward with the stream. I’m glad I did, in the long run. I ended up having fun and getting a BUNCH done, so I’m calling that a win.

All day, we played “Wheel of WIPs.” Each WIP had either a 1 hour or two hour timeframe. Some of the things were threads I needed to open/posts I had to make live. I also had 10 diamond painting kits I needed to de-kit as well. Each of the kits had a spot on the wheel (shown is the last things left on the wheel, not ALL of my WIPs). I had some set up to do on a project that I will be talking about in a later post here. It was a VERY large mix of projects. I had a series of 4 puzzles happening, as well as a game I called the “Mario Jump Game.” There was even an unboxing of a present from a wonderful friend of mine near the beginning of the stream.

We ended up spinning the wheel on ALL the things once. The prize for that, was me getting a chance to play Powerwash Simulator with my viewers. This happens to be my newest obsession, so it was one HECK of a carrot to touch each of my WIPs that day. We ended up playing over 4 hours. In fact, we watched the ball drop in Times Square, and played through Central and Mountain Time’s midnight. It was SUPER fun. Everyone agreed that we needed to do another Power Wash night.

This means I touched all 15 projects/project types that I had added to my Wheel of WIPs during my 14 hour stream, which I was VERY excited about. It’s further than I thought I’d get, to be honest. It was difficult to stick to the timing on the Wheel, though… But I did it.

For those that want to know, we ended up getting a Raid from a friend of mine as well during the stream, which added a 16th project on the WIP wheel. I’ve been coloring full pages from a book by Franklin Habit that I bought a bit ago. I had been coloring pages for everyone that raids in during my streams all through the last few months of 2025. So the friend picked a person knitting in bed.

I had SO much more fun than I have been having on streams of late during this stream. It is honestly why I made the decision to stop streaming and using Twitch in general. It was affecting me negatively, mentally. There were other factors that went into it, of course, but that was the primary reason I finally said “enough was enough.” And I wasn’t being kind to myself. I feel more relaxed now that I’ve made the announcement and stopped the streams. I’m also feeling a bit…weird. It’s the first time I don’t have any streams planned after January’s break since I started streaming almost 5 years ago. I said at the end of stream that I didn’t think that I would be as emotional about leaving the platform as I was that night, but it’s the people I’ve met along the way that got me that way.

I had to remind everyone that, just because I’m not streaming, doesn’t mean I won’t be around for everyone. I’m planning on some Crafty Saturdays starting in February & (Power) Wash Wednesdays on my Discord. The weekly crafty things always got nixed as an idea before, as I was pretty shot (and didn’t have the energy to do them) by the end of a streaming week. I’m hoping people will be wanting to stop by.

Either way… On to the next thing on my long list of things I’ve been thinking about for AGES, right? lol.

Here are the VODs from that night, just in case you happened to miss any of the fun! My internet dropped a few times, but here they all are!

Thanks for hanging with me as I talked about my last Twitch stream! I appreciate your patience with the VOD posts of the past year or so. I promise I’ll be blogging more this year. It is, in fact, one of my 2026 goals!!!

Until Next Time, Happy Crafting & Gaming!
